Pilot (part 1)
Quinn Mallory, a physics graduate student, researching anti-gravity
and accidentally opens an inter-dimensional portal, it was the way to
other, parallel, dimensions of the same Earth. His friend Wade Wells
and university professor Maximillian Arturo travel with Quinn through
the portal for what they think will be a four-hour journey. Turning
the power too high, they accidentally bring passer-by Rembrandt Brown
with them.
Pilot (part 2)
Sliders find themselves in the world in where the Soviet Union has
conquered America. They join the revolutionaries in order to save Rembrandt
from imprisonment and travel back to their own world... as they think.
Fever
The Sliders visit a disease-ravaged world in which antibiotics have
yet to be discovered. They discover that the Quinn on this world is
"patient zero" and leading a covert fight against the sickness. Racing
against time, they must find a cure and escape before its too late.
Last days
The Sliders land on an Earth where a huge meteor is set to collide
with the Earth in two days (and 72 hours until the next slide). Arturo
works feverishly with Bennish, an eccentric, yet brilliant young scientist,
to recreate Einstein's equation for the atomic bomb. Rembrandt finds
a wild "end of the world" party and Quinn and Wade confront their feelings
for one another, thinking the end is near. And the final quastion --
will the atomic cure prove more deadly than an asteroid?
Prince of wails
The Sliders come in the British States of America -- a place where
two hundred years ago England won the Revolutionary War. They joins
up with the disgruntled member of the American Royal Family. The local
Arturo has a murderous plot to end the monarchy and the Sliders find
themselves torn between supporting the tyranny of Monarchy or the anarchy
of homicide.
Summer of love
The Sliders find themselves in an Earth where San Francisco is still
inhabited by hippies from our 1960's - only here, Oliver North is President,
the U.S. is involved in a Vietnam-type war in Australia and the flower
children are under surveillance by the police. Meanwhile, Rembrandt
stumbles upon his childhood sweetheart and discovers how a few decisions
back home might have made his life been better - or worse.
Eggheads
The Sliders land on an Earth where being smart is the equivalent tobeing
a famous athlete. Quinn and Arturo's doubles, cultural icons on this
world, are also sliders and they have been missing for some time. Quinn
gets into a little trouble when some gangster bookies mistake him for
his double and he and his friends must hurry and find the sliding equipment
they're sure is there somewhere.
The weaker sex
The Sliders land on an Earth where traditional male and female roles
are reversed: men stay at home with the children and do housework while
the women have control of the corporate and political sectors. Wade
immediately lands a job as the Mayofs assistant, as does Quinn, but
Quinn quits when all he's asked to do is make coffee and wear tight
clothing. Determined to put things right, Arturo decides to run for
Mayor, much to the shock of the local community.
The king is back
The Sliders land on an Crying Man's Earth. In this parallel dimension
Rembrandt "Crying Man" Brown is as big as Elvis, but after a mysterious
"death" eight years ago, this world has had to make do with "Crying
Man" impersonators. Rembrandt is ready to assume this way of life and
stay on this Earth until his double comes out of hiding to explain why
he staged his own death.
Luck of the draw
The Sliders travel to a parallel dimension where is no crime, public
transportation is take a car, that requires no key. Everything seems
perfect when Wade wins the lottery, but Quinn suspects that something
else is going on. Quinn soon learns that the lottery is population control,
winners are to be killed. It's up to Quinn to save Wade from being killed
untill they can Slide.
